Monticello United Church of Christ was founded in 1909. MUCC is a member of the United Church of Christ, which is a denomination frequently referred to as “Congregational”. The UCC is called this because each individual Church, while adhering to the UCC’s Statement of Faith, retains control over the makeup and governance of its own congregation.
MUCC is governed by a Church Council and decisions are generally made at a church-wide conference held each quarter. Each member has a vote. Below, you’ll find more information about MUCC and our beliefs. Be sure to check out the UCC Statement of Faith and What We Believe.
